Coming from the shores of Oahu as teenage pals, vocalist and guitarist Tyke James and guitarist Addison Sharp swapped out beaches for the Great Salt Lake teaming up with drummer Willie Fowler and bassist Caiden Jackson to form The Moss. As the band’s chief songwriter, Tyke James uses his own personal experiences and passions, and translates it into The Moss’ sunny tunes. The sound is combined with indie rock and reggae, and draws inspiration from awesome artists like Pinegrove and Kevin Morby. In January 2023, The Moss dropped their Insomnia EP. It was such a hit that it’s title track became a breakout single, climbing Spotify’s Viral 50 playlist and landing at #13 on the Alternative radio chart. The group are touring warriors who have played at bucket-list venues and several festivals over the past year like Bonnaroo, Summerfest and Life Is Beautiful. The Moss’ insightful tracks and memorable live shows have also snagged critical acclaim across the music press circuit, including Alternative Press, Under The Radar, The Alternative, LADYGUNN, Earmilk, Atwood, and Ones To Watch - just to name a few!
Joining these indie heavyweights at New York City’s Irving Plaza is the adored Hey, Nothing. Over the years, this Georgia based indie duo has revitalized folk rock with their dynamic debut project, “We're Starting to Look Like Each Other.” The duo, composed of Tyler Mabry and Harlow Phillips, started recording together while in high school, and now they have evolved into one of the most promising bands arising from the folk rock scene. From upbeat anthems like the stunningly saccharine “Too Drunk to Drive” right through to the somber and ruminative “Ur Purple Eyes,” Hey, Nothing promises to take you on a wild ride through their highly anticipated debut album.
