And with the addition of The Darkness to our lineup of shows this September - we continue down that legacy of bringing you guys the best musicians and the craziest shows this globe has to offer as talent comes to town for their 2025 tours.
This year, The Darkness is embarking on their 2025 Dreams On Toast World Tour, taking the English band to 71 (!!!) shows across the world in The Uk, The EU, and The US. The band will hit anywhere and everywhere that’s cool this year - including venus like the O2 Apollo in Manchester, King John’s Castle in Ireland, Rockefeller Oslo, Orion Club in Rome, Santana 27 in Spain, The Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, The Egyptian Room in Indianapolis, L.A.’s Wiltern, and of course - right here at Irving Plaza in NYC.
The Darkness are the British hard rockers who have given us Permission To Land and permission to dance since all the way back in 2003. Their first album (Permission To Land) went quadruple platinum in the UK, and has sold over a million copies worldwide. They have released seven albums as The Darkness, going into solo projects and spinning off into The Stone Gods after being dropped by Atlantic in 2006, but then starting back up again in the 2010s for reunion shows and to create more music together. The Darkness have done multiple world tours, played at hundreds of venues across the world. and have sold endless amounts of albums as they have dominated the scene for the last two decades.
Their new album Dreams On Toast is an ode to what Rock and Roll once was - and to the eclectic energy that the band was able to fester up in the early 2000s when they took the world over by storm. And their live performances still feel like an indie rock show in your best friend’s backyard, even when they’re playing mega festivals like Wacken Open Air (which we linked a video to below!). And that’s why seeing the crew live is so special - they’re fresher than ever, and ready to remind us how they got to the top of the Rock game all over again.
