Punk supergroup Me First and the Gimme Gimmes have been at it for almost 30 years, bringing audiences a mixture of breakneck-speed covers that can lift the roof, a killer performance, wild crowd participation, brilliance and humor, and an abundance of good tunes. It’s a whole lot of punk ‘n roll!

They’re not just any band; they’re the world’s greatest cover band.
The brilliant punk supergroup Me First and the Gimme Gimmes broke into the music industry in 1995 with a 7” single featuring two John Denver covers. From there on, things just got wilder. Their performances are killer sets – unique rapid-fire punk interpretations of the music of the legends, such as Elton John, Lionel Richie, Neil Diamond, REO Speedwagon, The Beatles, and even Barbra Streisand, Lady Gaga, and Christina Aguilera. Nobody rocks classics such as “Mandy”, “Rocketman”, “I Will Survive”, and “I Believe I Can Fly” harder than Me First and the Gimme Gimmes.
Sometimes music needs to be just fun, silly, and amusing, and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes tick all the boxes, but at the same time, they are so gosh darn brilliant! Me First and the Gimme Gimmes are pro’s at unifying a crowd over the joy of rock & roll and incredible audience participation – from crowd-surfing to slam dancing, from loud and boisterous voices to downright good humor. The “Let Us Play Your Party” line-up consists of vocalist Spike Slawson (Swingin’ Utters and Re-Volts), bassist Fat Mike (NOFX), guitarist Joey Cape (Lagwagon), and drummer Dave Raun (Lagwagon and RKL), and often sports guests CJ Ramone (Ramones), John “The Swami Reis (Rocket From The Crypt), Andrew “Pinch” Pincher (The Damned), and Jonny “2 Bags” Wickersham (Social Distortion).
Irving Plaza is the premier venue for punk and new wave music in New York. The magnificent venue is close to public transport facilities, sports a VIP lounge, and sells the coldest, best beer around.
The Defiant consists of former members of The Offspring, Smash Mouth, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Street Dogs, and The Briggs – and together they create a rock and roll pedigree that culminates in a riot of melodic punk. Their debut album, “If We’re Really Being Honest”, dropped in 2023.
The rock power super group Ultrabomb, featuring Greg Norton (Husker DU), Finny McConnell (The Mahones), and Jamie Oliver (UK Subs/SNFU), exploded onto the scene in 2022 with their acclaimed debut album, “Time to Burn”.
