“I was impressed with his guitar playing and this kid who loved his instrument,” John Gourley shared in an official statement. “I was in Alaska when I was writing it, listening to Coast to Coast, thinking about people who obsess over things, true or not, which loosely is what the song is about.”

Amassing critical acclaim from the likes of Rolling Stone, Guitar World, and Billboard, the man has indeed stolen the show… with songs such as “Moonlight Sonata” and “Snow Monkey” striking everyone’s souls. “I was born in 2000, the Year of the Dragon,” Marcin shared, noting that 2024 is also the Year of the Dragon. Seems to be a very fitting release date for his debut LP. “The dragon is a fiery mythical beast, untamed and chaotic. And then you have this idea of harmony, which is the opposite of that,” explaining how over the years, he’s done various things, though not really cohesive. This time, as he crafted an album, the Dragon’s fiery attacks are in harmony — making an artistic statement.

With a couple of naysayers on the side, the man says: “Purists say players like me are killing the guitar. But if evolution is bad, then guitar is dead.”
