Releasing their long-awaited new album last May 17th, Joywave turned heads with a lineup of new tracks that share the band’s signature alt-rock sound. “​​Permanent Pleasure. A decade in the sunbeam. A unique vantage point. Our job has become to sit and think. To experience and react,” the band shared prior to the album’s release.

Explaining how the record is made up of 10 thoughts within Joywave’s beam, the band takes a more personal approach to each track, provoking thought and meaning across the album. “The album is Joywave's ‘whatever we want to do, whenever we want to do it' at its best, and we loved the idea of the temporary state of the band name maturing into this album title,” they explained.
