Joeyy at Irving Plaza

A lot of people “met” Joeyy in some sketches with fellow Rhode Islander Sam Hyde. That’s why the Joeyy “character” was perceived as a satire by many people. In the sketch, that Joeyy stars in, Sam Hyde’s poking fun at the current rap culture. Joeyy though, as mentioned, had been creating trap music that he uploaded to his sound cloud since the early 2010s. He actually went by the name Little Kleenex at the time. Obviously, his music has changed a ton since those days. Joeyy, though, has never been someone who shies away from getting creative and exploring the limits of the genre. His songs still feature plenty of autotune, and that’s going to be a part of the event at the Irving Plaza for sure!

If you and your friends are fans of these underground rappers that came up from SoundCloud and TikTok then this is a perfect night to head to the Irving Plaza. This may not be the day that the heavy rap crowd is going to make their presence felt at the iconic NYC venue. Making this October 3rd show a much more tame experience. One of the things that people report loving about Joeyy is that he’s always super receptive to the fans. Getting a chance to be up close and personal with him at a venue like the Plaza can be a great experience.

There are different places within Irving Plaza that may be perfect for this night. The Loft is one of those areas that could be ideal if you want to be close to the stage but not within the floor. Obviously, the main floor area is where you’ll be able to get up close with Joeyy. This area is accessible to anyone with a ticket. To find a spot next to the stage, make sure to get to the venue early. Doors are 7 pm for this show and likely soon after that time, Laker Brady will be taking the stage.
