Hulvey at Irving Plaza

Hulvey is beginning to take over the Christian record charts as Reach Records’ latest breakout hip hop artist. It wasn't always easy for Brunswick, GA native, as he went from dropping out of college to scrubbing toilets in his younger years. But that never stopped this talented young man from keeping his eyes on his dream to be a recording artist. Fast forward to today, Hulvey makes music that's all about thankfulness, maturity and comfort that reflect the peace of mind he currently inhabits.

Hulvey says: “What matters to be above anything is making music that glorifies God and I want people to be able to hear that when they press play. My hope is to meet people where they are and that they would feel their spirits lifted.”

In 2019, he dropped his first EP titled Prelude. After this, a month later, he followed up with another EP titled BRKNHRT. His debut album, Christopher, came two years after in 2021 and it peaked at No. #8 on Billboard Top Christian/Gospel Albums chart, and #19 on the Rap Albums chart - this is only one week after its release.

This year, Hulvey went on his first nationwide tour - The Beautiful Tour. Everyone called it a major success after he sold out venues across the United States! An awesome feat for someone who never thought they'd make it this big.

Now, Hulvey is back for more. He just dropped his studio album, CRY, and it's all you would ever expect. It's uplifting, it's a tearjerker, and it gives you hope.
