Luckily for all of the Hasan Raheem fans on the East Coast, he'll be headlining a show at the Irving Plaza in NYC on Friday, November 8th. Hasan Raheem's rise through the musical ranks in Pakistan has been a miraculous one. He was originally studying to become a doctor when he first started recording music. No word on how his grades during that time faired! Luckily for him and the fans that will be in attendance at the Irving Plaza on Friday, November 8th, he found his true vocation in music. In 2020, Raheem won the Breakthrough Artist of the Year award for music at the 1st Pakistan International Screen Awards. His career has really taken off from there. In 2022, he was a part of Coke Studio, one of the more popular variety shows in his home country. At this point, though, he was already THE rising star in Pakistani music.
This year, he's taking his talents across the US and Canada on a limited tour. If his recent shows in the UK can tell us anything, expect some very intense visuals to complement Hasan Raheem's unique style. One of the things that has allowed him to stand out throughout his career has been the "progressive" outfits that he busts out on stage. This certainly has been something that has pushed the boundaries, particularly in Pakistan, known for being a rather conservative country. His style and the visuals in his shows work great with his soulful vocals and chill beats, which have been a staple of his entire career. On November 8th at the Irving Plaza, some of the ladies in attendance may not be that chill once Hasan Raheem hits the stage. Keep an eye out for that!
