Not to be confined to one genre, she crafted her cross genre musical blend of rock and pop, earning her the title "A Rainha do Rok," the Queen of Rock. However, as an innovative spirit, she continued to experiment with different styles, adding Samba, Funk and MPB to the list as time went on.
Despite starting her career as a backing vocalist and later on graduating to become the lead singer of the band, Blitz. Her 40-year-long career has yielded some impressive accolades, such as a Grammy nomination, and several Prèmio Multishow awards. Plus, over the years, Fernanda has also collaborated with many other fantastic musicians, such as David Byrne, Robyn Hitchcock and Marina Lima. Despite all this success, Fernanda remains a humble spirit at heart, often mentoring new and upcoming Brazilian talent, and continues to be considered to be a pioneer of Brazilian Pop-Rock.
