Get set for new tunes as Epic drops their latest effort, Aspiral, in conjunction with their spring tour. The U.S. fans will be the first ones to experience these phenomenal tracks performed live. Aspiral, which is set to drop in April, is preceded by titles, “Arcana,” “Cross the Divide,” and “T.I.M.E.” These staples possess the same enigma and technicality that Epic has been known for. Guitarist Mark Jansen’s insane artistry and riffwork in combination with singer Simone Simmon’s stunning soprano vocals are sure to take audiences’ breaths away.

The band is Netherlands’ answer to symphonic metal. Epica came out in 2003 upon releasing th4eir debut album, The Phantom Agony. Singer Simone Simmons was featured in Kamelot’s The Black Halo lead single “The Haunting (Somwhere in Time),” which led to international metal fans eventually discovering Epica. But the band had long been making traction in their home country plus Belgium with their first two records. By the time Epic released their third album The Divine Conspiracy in 2007, the band had broken into several international charts. In 2012, Epic broke into the US charts with Reqiuem for the Indifferent. Today, Epica remains as the frontrunner when it comes to female led symphonic metal.
