Let 's spill the tea on DESTIN CONRAD – a Tampa, Florida native with proud Jamaican roots. Word is, his mom swears he was belting out tunes before even uttering a word – how cute is that? Back in the Vine era, Destin was the talk of the town. He was racking up a million followers at his peak. Fast forward a bit, and guess what? He landed his first major credit for putting his musical touch on KEHLANI'S IT WAS GOOD UNTIL IT WASN'T – that album that rocked the Billboard charts at #2. Those were some seriously hard-hitting lyrics, and Destin was right there in the mix.
COLORWAY, Destin's debut project, was released in 2021 and has received over 85 million streams. In 2022, he opened for musicians Syd and Kehlani on their separate tours. Destin recently completed his first headlining tour in Europe and the United Kingdom, selling out gigs in Amsterdam, Paris, and three nights in London.
Meanwhile, SATIN, his sophomore album, was released in November 2022. The album was just as successful as the former. Some of the best songs off of it includes “Day Party,” “Down Bad,” and the title track. Fader described his catalog as, “lush, intimate earworms infused with a gentle touch.”
In October of this year, he returned to the scene with his third album, Submissive. The nine-track offering includes the previously shared songs “Switch,” “Outta Control” and “Luv n Devotion.” It also features guest appearances from Masego and Jordan Conrad. The album gave some of the most unforgettable lyrics like: “What I’m hearin’ is true / That you and so-and-so been rockin’ on the low / I met him the other night, and lowkey he a vibe, though / Wish I could give you more”
On the heels of the album, Destin also announced his first-ever headlining tour. Top track "Outta Control," which was released only six weeks ago, has already received over two million streams. The 36-city tour, produced by Live Nation, takes out on Sunday, February 4th at Come and Take It Live in Austin, TX. It will make stops across North America in Atlanta, New York, Vancouver, and more before ending on Friday, April 5th at Echoplex in Los Angeles. Get ready for this!
