"We Only Talk About Real Shit When We’re Fucked Up" unfolds like a gripping tale with two sides. On one end, it delves into the phenomenon where serious conversations only happen under the influence - showcased in tracks like "Ho Chi Minh." On the flip side, it serves as a commentary on society's tendency to turn a blind eye to tough issues until they hit a breaking point - echoed in tracks like "Khartoum" and "Decent."
In a review written on Album Of The Year, the author wrote: “After such a long wait from the Milky Way, Bas finally returns with a phenomenal project. Over the 5 years Bas' pen game has definitely improved, and he seems to be more emotionally mature with some of these tracks being really introspective and pure. Along with this we get some really fun summery tracks that Bas did really well on his last album. Overall, I'm incredibly happy with this, and was certainly worth the wait.”
Don't miss it when Bas closes out his incredible tour in NYC! Book your tickets right now before they sell out!
