Valentine's Day at the Irving Plaza? It's gotta be a rap night; otherwise, it wouldn't feel like a true NYC experience, would it? Cochise is going to be in charge of bringing the "romance" for the evening. Keep in mind that February 14th is a Friday, so you can actually come out to the Plaza if you're looking to stay clear of pink heart candies and balloons.
This show's going to be part of Cochise's Why Always Me Tour. The man promises to bring plenty of new music to NYC. In fact, the tour shares its name with his latest album. If you want to make sure you know all the songs that will be coming from the stage on this Friday, catch up on Cochise's new beats. "YOSHIMITSU" is Cochise's most recent track that's starting to move up the ranks. He'll likely provide a live rendition of it at this event.
Tisakorean is going to be in charge of getting the crowd rolling on this night. This man draws a lot of inspiration from video games and anime. He's got some loud, catchy beats with sometimes vocals that are hard to grasp, but he's certainly going to provide a good jolt to start the event.

Cochise's story could very well be titled The Making of the Modern Rapper! He began posting his mixtapes on SoundCloud in 2015. Then he got a real big break when one of his tracks went viral on TikTok. Over the years, he's certainly refined his style to create both fast-talking rap songs mixed with some much deeper vocals on certain records. On top of all this, he's one of those performers who know how to play at a venue like Irving Plaza. If you're going to be on stage at the Irving Plaza, you gotta have the skills and the "comfort" to play the crowd. It's not easy for every performer to get "loved up" by the audience.
Cochise not only won't have a problem interacting with the crowd he's also one of those performers who won't mind going a cappella at times. You might be able to hear different versions of some of his most popular tracks on the same night. That's part of coming to a show at the Irving Plaza. Rappers know that they can't just come out with all of their super-edited tracks. The audience actually appreciates a bit of freestyling and even that rap battle atmosphere. Those "battles" have gotten out of hand from time to time at this venue. It is, however, a part of the aura of this place that you wish wouldn't overflow, but it has happened over the years.
If you've been to the Irving Plaza, you know how the "seating" arrangements work. As mentioned, it's a venue where the audience has plenty of chances to be up close to the performers. If that's what you're looking for, be sure to find a spot in the main floor area next to the stage. There are, of course, your regular Loft spots and some of the seated options in the back.
