King formed his band 'Slayer' with another guitarist who had been teaching him lessons, and this guitarist introduced him to Tom Araya, he discovered that he and Araya lived only one block away from each other and they agreed to start jamming together, thus the debut of 'Slayer' had begun. within his career, Kerry had played and featured with multiple big name bands in the metal industry, notably his appearance on several shows for the band 'MegaDeath' which was formed by former guitarist Dave Mustaine from the popular group 'Metallica'.

In March of 2020, when interviewed by Guitar World about his endorsements with Dean Guitars, King hinted that he would be working on new material for his first project due to 'Slayers' disbandment. Even though the band he had devoted his time to was no longer relevant due to their disbandment, he still followed his passion in the industry and even stated that he had over 2 albums worth of music just waiting to be released.

King has not only made it his mission to be consistent with his song releases across the world, but has also been very active on numerous media platforms which has greatly increased his fan base from all over the world. Notably his 54 thousand subscribers on YouTube, and his impressive average monthly listener count of well over a hundred and ten thousand! With some of his songs breaking into the millions of streams, notably his song 'Idle Hands' which to date has been his most popular song and amassed a staggering 1.7 million streams so far. Kerry's role in Slayer had set him up for him to hit the ground running when he inevitably started his own solo career. With some of his songs in Slayer surpassing everyone's expectations and becoming global sensations. Notably his role in the song 'Delusions of Saviour' which on its own has reached a staggering 172 million streams so far just on Spotify alone.
