People around the world couldn’t stop singing along to their songs. This year, they’re making a huge comeback with new songs and an upcoming album. Now, for the juicy part…. They’re headed on the GOTHIC SUMMER Tour in support of the title album.
Catch The Veronicas live when their tour stops in New York City. They will perform live at the Irving Plaza on Monday, the 22nd of April, 2024. Known for their hits like “Untouched,” “You Ruin Me,” and more, this duo is bringing an epic performance to the stage. The Veronicas have announced their return to the road. It’s all happening next spring for a lengthy tour of the United States. The tour will begin in the Bay Area on April 3rd in San Francisco's Fillmore and will conclude on May 5th in Los Angeles, CA. In case you missed the announcement, they will be joined by special guest Jesse Jo Stark on all dates. Their touring behind their upcoming release, ‘GOTHIC SUMMER,’ which is set to be released early in 2024.
As of now, they’ve released singles ‘Perfect’ and ‘Detox.’ The former is a flawless slice of punk-infused pop music that seems to nod to Olivia Rodrigo while emphasizing their DIY roots. It was co-written with John Feldmann and co-produced with Ryan Linville, and it features a real-life pop-punk legend - Travis Barker from Blink-182.
“‘Perfect’ is a love letter to our younger and current selves. Perfection has a different meaning for everyone. Social media has changed how we interact with the world. Perception versus reality is rewarded and condemned. From what people wear, to who they date.It’s like a magnifying glass. We just want to remind everyone to empower themselves, and free their minds. We all die in the end; we have to live with and love ourselves fiercely first and foremost. On our deathbeds the only opinion that will matter on how you’ve lived will be your own,” the two said in a statement.
When they tour the United States next year, be sure to catch them live. They’re stopping in New York City, so fans in the area have an opportunity to see them. There’s a lot of people who grew up listening to their classic hits like “Untouched” and more. Hopefully, we get to see some of their old music at this tour.
“We were fortunate to experience success early in our careers, touring extensively around the world for 12 years. Taking a break to live life was a necessary step for us. We can’t wait to reconnect with the people who loved our music as we were all growing up together.”
